 | Cut a 1/8" plate, with a shape that will give a good transition, from the front clip, to the original frame. Tack weld it to the frame clip, and bend it in place with a C clamp, so it can be welded at the rear. There will be gaps in the middle, don't worry at this point. |

 | Cut a 1/8" plate, with the same shape as the plate you made for the outside, to box the inside of the frame. Make it go about an inch farther back at the rear, and trim the front to fit around the lower A frame mount. Tack in place. |

 | Recheck all measurements again, correct any that have moved. Weld the box plates to the frame sections, and make filler plates to bridge any gaps inside the box plates. Weld these solid also. |

 | Cut a box plate for the top of the frame splice, and weld in solid. Trim off any frame that sticks down below the side box plates, and make a box plate for the bottom. Weld this in solid. Finish the weld as necessary, and paint. |

 | Reinstall the jig (This may require some trimming on the jig as the new section of frame now has the spring pockets and a-arm mounts included, DO NOT allow the end of the jig to move as you trim it.), add the pieces that will get you around any suspension pieces before you remove anything, and trim the clip to give clearance for the bumper and core support. The original frame horns flipped side to side will work for mounting the bumper, and a square tubing cross member can be fabricated for the core support. |
