This is a 34 Desoto Airflow coupe that we are doing. It looks like a VW bug on steroids. |

This is the chassis for the Desoto, with a 305 TPI, and a 700R4. It has a fabricated cross member with a Mustang II power rack, and Speedway tubular Mustang A frames. The spindles are 87 Crown Vic, for larger brakes. The upper ball joint fits, the lower has to be changed, and the A frame modified. The upper A frame is mounted 1" higher than a stock Mustang II because of the taller spindle. The rear end is a F-100 9" with 3.50 gears, and 65 Mustang axles, and housing ends from an 8" welded on. |
